Privacy Policy
This policy is for cephastope.com, operated by Cephastope / Cephas Tope (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@cephastope.com. Location: Abuja, Nigeria.
What we collect
When you opt in for a guide or the email list, we collect the email address you type, the page you came from, the time, and that you ticked the consent box. If you book a call we also receive whatever you put in the form (name, offer, message) because that opens your own mail app to hello@cephastope.com.
We do not buy lists. We do not scrape addresses. We do not pre-check the consent box.
Why we collect it
To send the thing you asked for (including The 7 Questions Every Founder Should Answer Before They Build a Website), occasional emails about new guides or offers, and to answer a booking request. That is it.
Where it lives
Emails sit in our site database and in our email tool (Mautic on mail.handmework.com). Mail is sent through Amazon SES when production sending is approved. Hosting is on our own servers.
Bounces and spam complaints
Amazon SES reports bounces and complaints to us over Amazon SNS. Our endpoint https://cephastope.com/webhooks/ses receives those events. Permanent bounces and complaints are suppressed: we add the address to a local suppression list and mark it do-not-contact in Mautic so we do not mail it again. That is how we keep the list clean. You can also leave on purpose at cephastope.com/unsubscribe.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe, or until a bounce/complaint suppression says we must not mail you. Suppression records stay so we do not accidentally re-add a complaining address.
Your choices
Unsubscribe: cephastope.com/unsubscribe or the link in every marketing email. Ask what we hold, or ask us to delete what we can, by writing to hello@cephastope.com. We will still keep a suppression flag if SES told us the address bounced or complained.
Cookies
The public site does not use advertising cookies. We may use basic server logs (IP, user agent, path) to keep the site up.
Children
This site is for adult founders and owners. We do not knowingly collect email from children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update this page and the date above.
